TD-550: Heavy Oil Detection Specialist
The TD-550 is specifically designed to detect crude and other heavy oils, offering an enhanced detection range from low ppb to 5000 ppm. This makes it ideal for applications where a wide concentration range is critical.
- Detection Range: 5 ppb to 5000 ppm (dependent on target oil).
- Common Target Oils: Crude oil, diesel, lubrication oils, and fuel oils.
- Power Supply: External power supply (90-240 VAC) and battery operation (6-8 hours).
- Data Output: USB and Micro SD card.
- Calibration: Supports direct and raw calibration methods.
- Display Units: ppm, ppb, mg/l, ug/l, raw.
- Approvals: CE certified.
TD-560: Dual Channel Versatility
The TD-560 builds on the functionality of the TD-550 by adding a second optical channel. This additional channel allows for the detection of lighter hydrocarbons such as BTEX, gas condensates, gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene, transformer oils, styrene, and phenol, making it highly versatile for a broader range of applications.
- Dual Channel Capability: NUV channel for heavier oils and DUV channel for lighter hydrocarbons.
- Common Target Oils: This includes all oils detectable by the TD-550, plus gas condensates, BTEX, gasoline, styrene, phenol, jet fuel, kerosene, heat transfer fluids, and hydraulic oils.
- Enhanced Sensitivity: High sensitivity for low concentrations of hydrocarbons.
Advanced Interface and Operation
The analysers feature a user-friendly touchscreen interface for easy operation and data management. The interface allows for quick sample analysis, data filtering by calibration, location, or date, and graphing filtered data from reading history. Each sample analysed is recorded with a time stamp, location, and results for fast lookup and review.
Calibration and Data Logging
The TD-550 and TD-560 support multiple calibration methods, including direct and raw calibration. They can store numerous calibrations and site locations, making it easy to switch between different calibration settings and track the history of sample analysis.
Applications
Both the TD-550 and TD-560 are ideal for a wide range of applications, including:
- Produced Water Analysis: Monitoring crude oil concentrations in produced water.
- Wastewater Treatment: Ensuring compliance with discharge regulations.
- Cooling Water Monitoring: Detecting hydrocarbon contamination in cooling systems.
- Intake Protection: Preventing hydrocarbon contamination in intake water systems.
- Oil in Soil Analysis: Measuring hydrocarbon contamination in soil.
- Storm Water Monitoring: Detecting oil pollution in stormwater runoff.
- Steam Condensate Analysis: Monitoring oil contamination in steam condensate.
- Treatment Verification: Verifying the effectiveness of water treatment processes.
- Discharge Compliance: Ensuring adherence to environmental discharge standards.
